There are also several used truck options available with diesel engines. Diesel engines have a long list of advantages, including lower maintenance costs and their all-important edge in fuel cost per kilowatt ratings. The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500: Work Truck Trim Level
The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is a masterwork of work truck engineering. It has five engine options to choose from. The first is a 4.3L V-6 granting 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. The second is a 2.7L turbo-four-cylinder providing 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque. The third is a 5.3L V-8 producing 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The fourth is a massive 6.2L V-8 pounding out 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. The final engine option is a Duramax 3.0L six-cylinder turbo-diesel providing 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
The 4.3L can tow up to 7,900 pounds, the 2.7L tows 9,600 pounds, the 5.3L tows 10,000 pounds, the 6.2L tows 13,300 pounds, and the 3.0L tows 9,500 pounds. The 2021 Silverado 1500 Work Truck comes with a six-speaker sound system, a 7-inch Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system, Bluetooth for two devices, voice-command-to-phone programming, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.
