    The Service Advisor is the front line of the dealership and communicates directly with customers managing their automotive maintenance and repair needs. Their role is to build solid relationships and provide outstanding customer service.

    Job Functions:
    • Understand customer needs and provide them with a complete service solution
    • Complete and review repair orders with customer
    • Estimate costs and time for service maintenance and repair needs.
    • Act as liaison between customer and Certified Service technicians and manage status of work orders
    • Keep customer updated as to progress of maintenance and/or service repairs

    Jim Tubman Chevrolet is currently seeking a full-time automotive technician to join our Certified Service Team.

    • Change oil fluid and filters
    • Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation
    • Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
    • Complete vehicle inspection
    • Clean and lubricate fittings as needed

    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
    • Work well with others
    • Knowledge of all makes and models
    • A high level of motivation and energy along with strong customer service skills
    • Must have a valid driver’s license

    The Service Technicians duties include performing all vehicle Warranty and non-Warranty inspection, diagnostic, maintenance and repair work efficiently and competently to Dealership standards. The technician is also responsible for installing accessories and performing vehicle pre-delivery inspections and preparation work. The Technician is required to maintain current product knowledge and service needs as prescribed in technical bulletins, manuals, and training programs.

    Job Functions:
    • Perform work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Manufacturer Standards
    • Diagnose the cause of vehicle, gasoline, electric or diesel, malfunctions. Recommend and estimate any appropriate repairs. Upon completion of repairs vehicle will be road tested
    • Examine vehicles to identify necessary repair or maintenance items that may not be included on the repair order and communicate to Service Advisor
    • Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain needed parts
    • Communicate with Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined on repair order is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed by the time promised
    • Clearly and accurately document all work performed
