History of Chevrolet Yenko Vehicles

The Birth of Yenko Chevrolet

Yenko Chevrolet was a Chevrolet dealership located at 575 West Pike Street in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Founded by Frank Yenko, the dealership became famous in the 1960s when his son, Don Yenko, began selling modified Chevrolets under the Yenko Super Car brand.

The Legendary Yenko Camaro

In 1967, Don Yenko started producing the Yenko Camaro, a high-performance version of the Chevrolet Camaro. The Yenko Camaros were equipped with a 427 cubic inch (7.0L) V8 engine, significantly increasing their power and making them legends in the muscle car world.

Yenko Nova and Other Models

Following the success of the Yenko Camaro, Don Yenko introduced other high-performance models such as the Yenko Nova, Yenko Chevelle, and Yenko Vega. Each model carried the signature Yenko enhancements, including engine upgrades, suspension modifications, and distinctive Yenko badges.

The Yenko Legacy

Although Don Yenko passed away in 1987, the legacy of Yenko Super Cars lives on. The Yenko name remains synonymous with high-performance Chevrolets, and the original Yenko vehicles are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts.
